Welcome to Brush Strokes Painting

Hi, I'm Brush Strokes Painting Founder and President, Scott Bergman. On behalf our team, I want to welcome you to Brush Strokes Painting and tell you why I founded our service-based painting company in Denver, Colorado.

For starters, I have spent my entire career in highly focused customer service businesses because I deeply enjoy making people happy through superb service. I began in the restaurant business—growing, building, and owning restaurants, a bakery, and food manufacturing facilities. I then purchased an executive recruiting franchise, and grew that for many years.

Having long dreamed of moving to Colorado, I relocated to Denver in 2011, eager to embark on a new professional challenge in the form of a new business to buy and develop. After six months of researching and investigating, it was clear that the construction industry was booming to accommodate the huge migration of people desiring our fabulous Colorado lifestyle AND that there was a void in customer service, follow-through, and honesty in many facets of the business. To fill the void, I launched Brush Strokes Painting in late 2013 and began serving clients in early 2014.

Having been an executive recruiter, I knew the key to building a successful painting company was in acquiring the expertise to deliver. Putting on my recruiting hat, I found one of Denver’s most qualified and well-known estimators to join Brush Strokes Painting as our first employee. As our continued growth necessitated more expertise in our execution of field operations, we sought out Phil Epifano, a 40-year veteran of the commercial painting industry. Along the way, we have diligently grown our team of estimators, field supervisors, expert painters, and wall covering specialists.

The reception of Brush Strokes Painting in the marketplace has been incredible, and we are grateful for the amazing repeat relationships we have formed with general contractors, property managers, real estate developers, and home owners.

If we are already working with you, thank you! If we haven’t yet met, please reach out with questions or for a FREE ESTIMATE at (720) 398-9689 or info@brushstrokespainting.biz

Edward Gonzales, General Superintendent

Ed joined Brush Strokes after a terrific growing career in painting for 30+ years in June of 2022 coming with fresh open eyes and a depth of new ideas and organizational clarity. His prior experience working for companies on large commercial projects has helped Brush Strokes Painting improve our project completion processes, as well as our production quality during the early, middle, and final phases. He has a terrific eye for detail and customer satisfaction as well as excellent communication to link the office, field, and painting crews as well as the General Contractors in order for all parties to completely remain in the loop and on schedule. His value and impact was felt on the first day of work. We continue to welcome Ed daily for his continued support and growth in the field by supervising all field operations.

Our Team

Brush Strokes Painting employs 50 to 75 painters to meet our clients’ year-round needs.

We begin on the recruiting front by looking for painters who are talented and have a minimum of 5-10 years of experience working on commercial projects similar to ours. After interviewing, screening, and hiring new painters, we match their specific known skills to those needed on one of our smaller projects so we can ease them into the organization and level of quality and service we expect at Brush Strokes Painting

Once they have successfully performed a project or two, we begin reviewing their career goals, what types of painting they’d like to learn or what we’d like them to learn, and we help them improve their skills, productivity, and preparations for larger, more difficult projects. We also extensively review safety, safety training, proper uniform, PPE (personal protection equipment), and the very important role PPE plays in protecting them in the field as well as representing Brush Strokes Painting by conducting themselves in a professional manner.

We hold daily and weekly meetings on-site regarding particular safety issues on the job they are performing, and we let each painter know that the entire senior leadership at Brush Strokes Painting is here to support them. Every painter knows how to get in touch with each senior leader at any time—and they know that no matter how large our business grows or how small a particular project is, the leaders of this company are in the field and willing to support them.

Our team members understand how to SERVE our clients and customers to consistently deliver Service that Shines.
